The Au pair Experience
An Au pair is a young woman between 18 to 25 years old, without kids, single who decides to spend a certain period of time abroad for living with a family that choose her as the biggest daughter.
During her stay, the Au Pair will become in a member of the host family, who help in taking care of their kids and supporting some simple tasks at home.
The Au Pair word comes from a French term and means “on par” or “equal to”. It mean a mutual exchange.
The Au Pair receives a stipend as an exchange to her help and at the same time she lives as another family member who shares the daily life with everybody. Besides of that, she has the right to receive food and free accommodation; the amount of money and the working number of hours will set up by the regulations of the host country.
